Stop Smoking Service

We know what you are going through because we have been there! We wont preach to you, instead we are here to support and guide you to stopping smoking.

At Gregory Fisher Coaching we know how difficult quitting smoking is, because we have been there in your shoes and done it!  We know first-hand the struggle, the problems and the support needed.

This is why we offer a programme of support to our clients by fully qualified practitioners, following The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence treatment programmes but at the same time is a plan tailored to your needs, including advice on choosing a suitable stop smoking medication and information on how to manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms.

Our Stop Smoking Advisors are CAMQUIT trained which is the local Cambridgeshire stop smoking service and are also National Centre for Smoking Cessation And Training Certified Practitioners which is the national NICE required training qualification for stop smoking practitioners.

Whether you're a young person who's started smoking relatively recently or an adult who's been smoking since childhood, our friendly advisors can help you start out on the road to quitting – statistics show that you're four times more likely to quit for good with our support.

We offer free 121 private consultations which take place in the comfort of our private consultation rooms in March, Cambridgeshire.

However, following the latest government guidelines regarding Coronavirus, the weekly Stop Smoking Support Group is postponed until February 2021, and we will still be offering a appointments  to those who wish to stop smoking but until further notice all appointments will take place over the telephone or via our secure online Telehealth Video Consultation platform.

  • After 8 hours, the nicotine and carbon monoxide levels in your blood will reduce by half and oxygen levels will return to normal.

  • After 48 hours, carbon monoxide will be eliminated from your body. Your lungs will start to clear out mucus and other smoking debris.

  • After 48 hours there will be no nicotine in your body and your ability to taste and smell will be greatly improved.

  • After 72 hours your breathing will become easier as your bronchial tubes begin to relax and your energy levels increase.

  • After 2–12 weeks your circulation will improve.

  • After 3–9 months coughs, wheezing and breathing problems will improve as your lung function will increase by up to 10%.

  • After 5 years the risk of heart attack will fall to about half compared with a person who is still smoking.

  • After 10 years the risk of lung cancer will fall to half that of a smoker and the risk of heart attack will fall to the same as someone who has never smoked.
