We can do meal plans. But we prefer to work with you to help support you in sessions plan your own meals and healthy eating plans. We will even come shopping with you if you want!
Is Belly Busters an alternative to a Nutrition & Diet Planning Session?
Belly Busters is a support group. Some people come along and do very well just based on attending this group. However, for maximum results ideally you would have a monthly Nutrition & Diet Planning Session with your Nutrition Coach and use Belly Busters as a check in and for general support.
What do I get for a Nutrition & Diet Planning Session?
Nutrition consultations are slightly different to our other services. You book and pay for a one-hour session. We then split this into two 30min sessions. The first 30mins is the appointment, the second 30mins is contact with you over the next 3 weeks planned with you by phone, Telehealth or in person as the client and coach decides. It may even be the follow up session as we call it, is going to the food shops to look at options.
What does a consultation entail?
A private consultation is focused very much on the individual, looking at your personal health history, lifestyle habits, and goals. Before your first consultation you will be required to complete a questionnaire and food diary. During your consultation we may ask further questions, depending on what you have included in your questionnaire. I will then explain how your current diet and lifestyle may be affecting you. Finally, we will agree on a nutritional plan to address your symptoms.
How many consultations will I need?
The number of consultations required depends on each client's individual health issues. Our aim is to achieve long-term results as quickly as possible. Some clients require just one consultation. However, on average clients require two to three consultations over a three-month period. Then they can continue to attend Belly Busters if they wish.
Do I have to attend Belly Busters?
No. It is a free support service we provide but it is optional.
Can I bring a friend to Belly Busters?
Yes you certainly can, everyone is welcome.
Do you offer phone or Skype consultations?
The first session always takes place face to face. This can be at your home, office or place of your choice. We also have option to use private rooms for consultations before Belly Busters groups. After this first consultation we can indeed do consultations over the phone or via TeleHealth a secure online video call platform.
Will your programme be difficult to follow?
Our nutrition plans are tailored to our clients' lifestyles and dietary preferences, making them practical and achievable. We can also provide email and telephone support.
Will I have to cook or eat posh food?
Not unless you want to. We don’t believe in forcing people to eat kale smoothies or spend 3 hours a night cooking, unless they want to of course. We look at your preference, lifestyle and find suitable and enjoyable health food options that would fit better.
Do you recommend supplements?
We always prioritise food over supplements. However, if this is not possible, or if results can be achieved faster, we may recommend supplements.
Do you recommend diagnostic tests?
Often, we can identify factors that are contributing to clients' symptoms by taking a detailed case history. However, in some circumstances testing may be recommended in order to develop a more targeted protocol.
Is it safe to see a Nutritional Coach if I am on prescription medication?
Yes we are trained to identify drug-nutrient interactions. We ask clients to include all their medications on the nutritional questionnaire so that we can ensure that our recommendations comply with their prescription medication.
Is my personal information kept confidential?
Your personal information is kept strictly confidential. Where relevant, we may keep your GP informed about your programme. However, we will only do this with your permission.
What is the difference between a Nutrition Coach and a dietician?
Our Nutritional Coaches use the science of nutrition to promote optimum health, promote a healthy lifestyle, promote weight control and improve exercise or sport performance. We are not trying to treat health problems. We work independently but often have referrals from GPs as we give advice based on the national EatWell model.
We work with many common health issues and often work with patients, many of whom have been referred by medical practitioners, presenting with chronic health problems.
For the vast majority of the population our nutrition and diet planning services are exactly what they need and who they are aimed at. If we are in any doubt, we will always seek permission from your doctor.
However, there are some circumstance were we may refer clients to more specialist advice, such as those with a serious eating problem, complex health needs or those who are trying to manage health conditions with diet instead of medication.
A dietician uses the science of nutrition to devise eating plans for patients with various serious medical conditions. Dieticians work principally in the National Health Service and are regulated by the Health Professions Council. Their professional body is the British Dietetic Association. They may also specialise in the field of artificial nutrition support.
What conditions can nutritional advice support?
Nutritional advice can support a wide range of health issues such as weight loss, digestive issues (IBS, constipation), cardiovascular issues (high cholesterol, high blood pressure), female health issues (menopause, PCOS and fertility).
How and when do I pay?
Belly Busters is a free group. However, we do still ask that where possible you use the online booking system to help us plan for numbers. However you can just come along.
For Nutrition and Diet Planning Consultation, we prefer you to pay via credit/debit card via our booking system, but you can if you wish, pay by cash or via a BACs transfer. All monies are non-refundable unless the appointment is cancelled.

What if I’m running late?
If the client is late for a session the session will not be extended and will end at the appointed time. If the coach is late, additional time will be added to the session.
